Some things I want to remember
I read a book by Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts. It was a little too flowery, like she wanted to write in a mystic, literate way, but there were a couple of things that I liked. (or that made me think)A. "Every moment I live, I live bowed to something. And if I don't see God, I'll bow down before something else." So true, like Bob Dylan sang, "you're gonna serve somebody, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord"
B. "Here dies another day
During which I have had eyes, ears, hands
And the great world round me;
And with tomorrow begins another
Why am I allowed two?"
"Why doesn't anyone ask that 'why' question? So many of us ask "Why God?" when something bad comes along, how many of us ask, "God why are you so good to me?"
Thank you Father for your love and care. Bless You Father!
